oh, and yes, everyone asks: but it took 2,347 pennies to complete (give or take a few. haha) and a million glue sticks, and lots of patience and time! haha. but worth it cause this is definitely portfolio material. sa-weet!! (and no, the cardboard does not go with the shoe. i was using it to protect my quality spray painted table. haha)

Oh and funny. so we had to use a shoe that represents our personality or has meaning to us. you can kinda see the original shoe i was replicating, in the first image. well anyway so i said i used this shoe cause it was one of my work shoes i wore when i worked in nyc (that's actually a lie. i never wore them. believe me, i tried but couldn't. waaaay too painful. but they are so pretty! and i wore other shoes that were very similar, that are long gone because they have been destroyed from all the new york walking). and i said i used pennies cause i wanted to represent the materialistic of nyc. how money is so important there and blah, blah, blah. hahaha! another lie. oops. i wanted to use pennies cause i thought it would be amazing! and it was. and yeah, money is important there, cause you need to make some to live there. ha. just funny. cause from what i'm realizing/learning you need to have representation in your work or meaning or symbolism or something. you can't just do something to do it. ha, doesn't sound as important. stupid huh? but all in all, i got an A-. kinda annoyed about that one. but whatever.
