internet is finally back!!!

yeah, it's been a long 6 weeks without it. i would never ever recommend it. ever. ha.

so i didn't get the nyc job. and i went in there yesturday and i'm actually sad about it. or at least got me thinking about it again cause the interview was almost a month ago. i was just thinking of my nyc life and was starting to get all... whatever. ha. cause yes, dc is amazing, but you just do not get the same amazing/fun resturants as you do in the city.

but yeah, i love this place i interviewed at down in dc. man oh man. it would be amazing, no i mean, it will be amazing when i moved down there next week. haha. yup, cause i totally got the job! it would seriously be my dream job. i would be designing, drawing (sketching) again, and doing all my own watercolor renderings!!! yup, total dream job. oh and how can i forget the amazing site visits over to italy or london for work. again, freakin' dream. and the office only has 8 people working there. so it has a wonderful family/everyone helps out kind of feel. and the partners are so nice. i can't get over how down to earth they were. and they completely gutted a dupont circle brownstone and turned that into their office space. so it's basically a portfolio peice for their clients. so i would be going to work every day in a crazy amazing home. marble entry way, stone fireplace on every floor, plaster cornices... yup just drooling thinking about it. and they don't just do residencial work. they also do those amazing old stone churches, and university libraries, and planning. i would love to get into all this! it would make me so much more well rounded. oh and how can i forget this..... i would only be working 8:30-5:30. that's it!! oh my gosh! that's so early. i would still have 1/2 the day left. yeah, they actually said this in the interview, "this is just a job. we want you to have a life outside of here" um... WHAT!!!! yeah, definitely not nyc mentality where it was expected of you to stay til midnight. man i want to join this firm so badly. they do amazing work. i would be learning so much. and having fun! i would be getting paid to have fun. and dc. oh wow. dc is beautiful. and how wonderful. another city for me to get all excited about again. cause yes i will always love the city, but i know it really, really well. espically cause for 2-3 months that's all i did was explore every inch of it.

its just so pretty, and mello, and history. the decloration of indepence is there! and i can't wait to see the beautiful cherry blossoms in the spring. and virginia. wow. it's wonderful. has all the old charm/history that i love. and i went and saw a couple of apartments when i was down there and this one i found would be great. the roommate is wonderful, and it would be a perfect set-up.

so now i just have to wait. hopefully they'll be contacting me today. but probably not cause they said this week is a pretty bad week, so i'm guessing on monday. if they don't then i'll call on tuesday.
