it's impossible to find a gym in LA

it's so weird. you'd think that since everyone is so plastic and vein that gyms would be a booming business and plenty to choose from. ha, you're wrong! i can not find a decent one. i was royally spoiled  by my club in nyc. reebok sports club. i miss it so much, it hurts. nothing compares to it. the only nice "luxury" gym here is equinox and it's super cheese, super expensive and you have to pay for parking. and its so cheesey (stated twice i know) it's hard to stomach it. it's very "LA". i was all set to just join 24 hour in west hollywood, but the reviews are scary. 1 out of 5 starts. not good. and pictures verify the rating.

i miss nyc.

a lot. a lot a lot.

i went up to san francisco yesterday (was a fun little jaunt) and the first thought into my head after being there, "this is not ny". it's a nice place. love sausalito. tons of green. very very pretty.  and it was my "california thing" on the weekend. so that's good.

i'm getting more used to things out here, but i miss the city. i miss being able to walk everywhere. i miss the connivence of everything! having a car is a pain. haha. i do miss being a train ride away from home. i didn't go home that often cause it's a world of difference and so exhausting.

things in ca i do like:

the beach. manhattan beach to be exact. -but, you have to pay for parking. bummer
century city mall. it's really clean and modern. - but you have to pay for parking. bummer - you have to pay for parking everywhere. it's a constant bummer.
the people. they are great.

that's about it. nyc still wins by a large amount. i've been here for 5 months and i guess i'm still adjusting.
