hiking a 1/2 marathon

yup. that's what i did this morning. just under. we did 11.11 miles. yep! true story. i went with my friend kellie back up to the bonneville  trail up at the avenues. last week we only went for 2.75 hours and today we went early (9am) and planned to go a total of 5 hours. well... so i was suppose to go to moab this weekend, but cause it was suppose to be 97 degrees that was a no go. and other reasons, but i'm happy it didn't work out. so today up here in slc it go up to 96 degrees! haha, the reason why i didn't go to moab cause of the sun, and today it was just as hot. just funny. well i brought only one bottle water with me. a 25 oz-er. and i didn't ration it out like i should. see the 2.5 hours down the first way were all pretty much down hill, and it was still early, so the sun wasn't too bad, well turn around.. and it becomes a whole another story. the sun was beating down, i was out of water, kellie was super nice and even gave me the rest of hers. sweetheart. but i've passed out a few times in my life so i know the feeling. well, those feelings were creeping up on me! so unfortunately we stopped and sat probably 4 times. i know. sucks. but we didn't sit too long at each time, i just felt bad.

but we finally made it back. i kinda didn't think that would ever happen. i was cursing at myself for even going. but so glad i did. we did 11.11 miles in 5 hours. nice. and afterwords we went to smiths to grab some nice cool water. i buy two large evian 1 liter bottles. i downed one of them super fast. like in probably 2 seconds. GET OUT OF MY WAY... I'M THIRSTY!!! haha.

kellie wants a jamba juice so we swing by there and my stomach was kinda feeling sick. she gets back in the car, i'm pulling out of the parking spot, and i feel it. oh no. i'm going to throw up! so as i'm slowly still driving my car (!!!!) i open up the car door and a fountain of water (no joke, it was just like a cartoon image. insane. never done that before) came out of my mouth was going all over my car! i opened up my car door, not the window as my dad pointed out later when telling him the story, which would have been smart, and yea. it was a sight. mainly all water. cause i just downed that liter of water plus another bottle i had in the car (it was boiling. seriously felt as if i was drinking boiling broth soup. ha). so yea after all that, felt super great!!!

today was just full of day of firsts.

1. never hiked that far before, ever
2. never threw up in my car before like a cartoon fountain
3. never gone into smiths with dirt all over my body (caked on), wearing shorts, and looking like death. ha

and i guess that's it. just all funny.

last night went and saw the "snow white and the huntsman" movie. it was really good! i found out about 20 mins before i saw it, that the twilight girl was in it. great. knew it would be terrible. but it wasn't. i would recommend it.
