texas was wonderful! i was able to stay with callie and grant for a whole week and got to see my cousin brooke and thom and hadley. got to see ft worth, dallas, and everything in between. it was so fun. favorite spots: highland park (any street) southlake shopping area and downtown ft worth (Montgomery plaza). all was so wonderful. wonderful people. wonderful accents, even the weather was great!
we went to babes restaurant. probably the best fried chicken you'll ever eat. went shopping in southlake, went on a hunt for toms shoes to whole foods (yes the grocery store), ate at glorias mexican restaurant in ft worth with brooke and family. drove through plano, addison. but everything compared to highland park was a far, far second (on the dallas side, i didn't explore ft worth side too much). texas was so green! i couldn't believe it. highland park was just like greenwich/new cannan in ct. it seriously brought tears to my eyes at the beauty. oh! and they have all these biking/running trails all over.
and one day me callie and grant went hiking around grapevine lake. we went on a mt biking path, but it was a lot of fun. crazy to think people are coordinated to do that on a bike! can't even comprehend that. grant pointed out his eagle project, not once, but twice. haha. even got a picture by it!
but all in all, it was an amazing trip and hopefully i will end up there again (and very very soon).
